Smile New SoundToys Radiator plugin (not the Little one)

Yeah finally news from ST! hope we will have more updates. wondering if the new Radiator plugin will be launched in 64 bit also? That would be awesome

Come see SoundToys at AES in San Francisco, booth #619, and get your badge scanned for a chance to win the new Radiator plug-in. Or pick up a SoundToys bundle at special AES Show Floor prices. You can also see the real gear that inspired the new Boutique Series plug-ins, Radiator and Devil-Loc, and meet the SoundToys crew.

If you can't make it to the show, well, the official Radiator release is right around the corner, so keep an eye out for that. We'll have opportunities for everyone who got Little Radiator to upgrade, and some more specials, but in the mean time, here's a first look at Little Radiator's big brother.

To my knowledge, x64 is not ready yet.

More likely by the end of the year.

I'm sure this is 64bit. It would be completely weird for a company like Soundtoys to introduce a non-64bit plugin in 2012.

It may take some time for the older stuff to be converted over --- that's something a company might put on the backburner, 'cause it's a coding slog and it's not exactly gonna produce immediate revenue --- but any new plugin will be 64bit, I bet.

I might be completely wrong, but I'd be surprised.

Exciting! I love the sound of Little Radiator but find it just a little too limited. This looks like it solves all of the issues I have with it. Hopefully it's not too much of a CPU hog!

@Silver Sonya
alright,to all of you and to save everybody's breath NO x64 bit versions and no AAX version neither. Doesn't mean they won't see the light sometimes very soon.

So please HOLD your reath and save your comments about not buying if this or that. We all know Soundtoys are one of most respected and best plugin developers on the market. And they will deliver the goods.

Don't miss out this big brother of Little Radiator cuz its worth and it sound awesome

Cheers

I'm not saying that it's whole picture, but one of major issues regarding 64bit is an iLok1. There are issues in Windows and for Mac there is no chance to have 64bit plugins with iLok1 at all. So, they have to move to some different protection scheme.

Any idea of the price? I don't mind the limitations of 4g of ram so I should be on it if the price is inline with modern pricing (awesomely cheap).

Where's the Juice?????????? Am I missing something? I love this company to death, but something is amiss. I hope it isn't what I think it is.

He's already given multiple statements. And they're all basically the same... and often contain an invitation to one of their shows/parties . It's the same one he's given for, what?... the last 2 to 3 years? Maybe it just seems like that long.

Used to use soundtoys on everything. Haven't touched their plugins in close to a year. Had to go 64 bit and they were the only company not joining the party. I'm sure they have their reasons but they are really taking way to long. It's at the point of damaging their company I'm sure. Who buys non-64bit these days?

You know, I gotta admit to being lucky in that dept.
Reaper seems to play nicely with 32 bit plugs in a 64 bit environment.
No problems using ST or UBK, which is great because I haven't heard another delay that sounds like Echoboy.

Dumb question (as it flies directly in the face of GS) but has anyone who is at AES actually bothered to stop by the SoundToys booth to ask them face-to-face about this plug being 64 bits and/or their future plans?

It doesn't affect the sound. 64 bit DAW can utilize more than 4GB of RAM so some people prefer that. Logic has a 32 bit bridge which regularly fails so au people particularly prefer 64 it. If you don't use than many VI then it's not as much of an issue because 4GB is perfectly capable of doing 60 track "recorded" piece in my experience.
