ddmf has released LP10, a 10-band linear phase equalizer for mixdown / mastering purposes. It provides full parametric control over 8 bands plus a High-Shelf and a Low-Shelf band with variable width. Each band can be amplified / reduced by up to 12 dB.

Main features:

* Native DSP linear phase code for uncompromised clarity.
* High shelf filter: Gain from -12:12 dB, Q from 0.32:14.42.
* Low shelf filter: Gain from -12:12 dB, Q from 0.39:0.55.
* 8 fully parametric bands: Gain from -12:12 dB, center frequencies from 32:16384 Hz, Q from 0.32:14.42.
* Out gain adjustable from -80:12 dB.
* All controls are fully automatable.
* Latency of 6144 samples.

LP10 is available as a VST effect plug-in for Windows and costs €40. A demo version is available.

Not familiar with this company...Boatload of latency...Gonna download the demo tomorrow, has anybody tried it out yet?

Tried the demo this morning. Nice tool! Every band is fully configurable, very versitile. It sounds pretty musical too, especially around 250 and 2000. It added some character to a bottom snare track I tried it out on. I'll be A/Bing with some other linear phase stuff later this weekend. Pretty sure I'm gonna buy it, the price is right!

3.2.1 update

customer email:

Dear user,

version 3.2.1 of the LP10 is now available. The zoom-function of the analyzer now works such that it always zooms into the center of the screen (kind of hard to explain, but obvious once you see it...). Also, there was a bug that caused the stereo width to be set to one when using the A/B or the copy function.

Even though they're no more donationware (now 20$ for a single plugin + bundle prices) it's still best bang for the buck EQ's out there.
(not to mention the extremely good and smooth sound of LP10!)

Software LP10 V4 is out!

...
Dear user,

after the update of IIEQPro to version 3.0 last month, LP10 was due to a
similar overhaul.A much improved interface handling, new Butterworth-based
filters with continuously variable filter slopes (so not only 6, 12, 18...
dB/Oct but also everything in between, from 6 to 60 dB/Oct), an autolisten
feature and a 64 bit version for the Mac OSX platform warrant a major
update. To keep things simple, the deadline for a free update is the same
as for IIEQPro (13th of April 2011). Everybody who bought LP10, the EQ
bundle or the Full Bundle after that date can immediately proceed to
http://www.ddmf.eu/register.html and download the new version. All other
users are offered a 50 % reduction on the normal price, which means this
beautiful piece of software is available for only $14.50. Please enter
UPDATE in the voucher form of the online store to get this reduction.

IMPORTANT: if you update, PLEASE use the same address you used to purchase
the previous version whenever possible. Otherwise the system will not
recognize you and I'll have to shift things around manually...

Alright, that's it for now. Other things are in store as well, like a Neve
EQ, a linear phase multiband compressor and Metaplugin 2.0 (free of charge,
though) with parameter access and MIDI/synth possibilities. Stay tuned!

Happy mixing, Christian

Anyone else having issues with either clicking 2chan in v3.3 (full version) or Md in v4 (demo version)?

Cubase is crashing for me (looks to be some memory addressing problem?).

64 bit version, Cubase 6.03, Windows 7.

Henge, do you notice some increase on cpu when using the (great) butter filters on IIeqpro?

Thanks

Well I just checked and my cpu usage is the same, except when sweeping frequencies. When sweeping with the butterworth filters the cpu usage is about 3x higher (.03% to 1.0%) but when the frequencies are constant then there is no difference.
Reaper 4 by the way.
