Voxengo Drumformer

Just had an email from Voxengo promoting their newest plugin Drumformer. Looks like a channelstrip tuned for drums with newly designed modules!!

Multiband drum track processing plugin (AU, VST) - Drumformer - Voxengo

Downloading the demo now!!

Voxengo GUIs are such a turn-off.

(though i'm sure it sounds great)

I'm sort of on the fence on that issue. I really like the clarity and utility of the controls, but it's often much to busy for me... Designing GUI's is not an easy task though.

The default is pretty bright, but easy enough to change. I do prefer their original layouts though.

Still sound great

Anyone find Voxengo plugs a bit crunchy in the highs? Interested if the Drumformer has a different character.

3rd. Extremely intuitive and well laid out. Love/hate it quality.

Yeah - weird I love the GUI too - reminiscent of Sonnox for me (in a good way)

BTW: it is a 64bit AU. Hope they'll port their other plugs too!

Sound

Everyone seems to have an opinion on the GUI...how about the sound?

I'm a little clear exactly how this plug works. Does it take multiple inputs from multi-tracked drums?

I love Voxengo GUIs! But then again, I like the PLParEQ and the Angeltone gui too. Maybe I'm visually inept?
