When you purchase the full version can multiple buttons be pushed in at the same time? Like the classic 1 & 4 button setting?

This functionality is not possible in the demo.
You can't, however I feel like the plug may be a bit thicker than Roland's SDD 320 even with only one mode at a time.

Don't know about the demo, the commercial version is 64 AU indeed

Good job...
Stereo image sounds very similar now and also pretty much the top end.
The chorus blend and alteration is nailed as well!
One thing tho,
The HW sounds more gentle on the lows and highs and thats the very last difference left between the real thing and ERS....

Thats something i always notice when comparing digital emulation of analog box versus the analog box itself...pretty much..the analog box adds some warmth somehow due to the electrical components saturation and some non-linearities...

I heard that also with the comparison of the UAD Harrison EQ vs. the real Harrison EQ....same thing...the plugin always sounds "newer" or perhaps more "digital" ...if that makes any sense..

I think, if you'll add a toggle for "analog warmth" that would be awesome addition and the last step to nail it completely!

Without that kind of "warmth" ERS sounds "newer" than the vintage box..
while if someone looks for the vintage warmth tone, he could turn on the "analog warmth" switch and have that mojo....

Other than that, amazing work !!!

I build this version in such a way, that the future update will be backward compatible. You will find a modern/vintage switch in the parametersection that is not working yet.

Harrie

Has the update implemented?
Modern/vintage switch just like EMpTy 250 is nice.
I've tried Dim D 1.0.2 PC VST version, it's very good already.
Plan to get the two plug-ins together soon.
Looking forward the new baby "Empty Room Systems Micropitch"

Thank you! I have build a version with oversampling and compander. I have send it out to some betatesters and I am figuring out a few quircks that could be better. The oversampling makes it a lot more smooth and the compander makes the sound more around the original. But that is IMHO....

AAX is still in development and in alfa. It is hard for me to get the CPU-power that is needed to reasonable amounts.

The installer for EMpTy 250 and Dim D is now Windows 8 ready and will be online in a few days.

We are migrating the website in the meantime, so while also managing a 12 man FSE company in the biggest building crisis thinkable, things do not go as fast as I wish, but we are making steps forward.

I can't get the demo of Dim D v1.02 to work.

No issues placing the component file in the Library component folder.

The issue seems to be the key file.

I have created an "admin" folder/directory in Users Folder/directory as instructed.
Within that a Documents Folder, and within that Empty Rooms Systems and placed the key file in that.

As an alternative I've tried putting the component in the User plugins folder too (which seems really weird to me but that is actually what the RTF set up doc says) and and the new "admin" folder in my user Folder that doesn't work either.

I can load the GUI but no signal goes through it and the info window says "Registration : No key file".

Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated.

I got it to work.

I finally managed to decode the "how to install" document.

Having all that "Users/admin" stuff is EXTREMELY confusing.

Why not just say:

"In your Documents Folder/Directory create a new Folder/Directory called Empty Room Systems.
Place the Keyfile in the new Empty Rooms Systems Folder."

Anyway, Dim D sounds great....

Modes 1 and 4 don't work in the demo mode.

Is that a known demo limitation ?

cheers

Glad you enjoy it!

I will take that sentence and place it in the "how to install" document.

Thanks!

No worries Harrie, glad it was useful.
So is it the case that Modes 1 and 4 don't work in the demo ?

regards

I've been trying to get the demo to work on our studio machine which is running OS X 10.6.7 and the demo won't work.

Are there any work arounds to get this working as I'm really in the market for a chorus plug-in since I'm not using UAD anymore.

Can't get the Mac demo to work. It passes audio but applies no effect. It just duplicates the clean signal (in phase) at the output.

Logic Pro 9.1.8 (32/64 Bit) & Logic Pro 10.0.7 (64 Bit)
Mac OS X 10.9.5

These problems should be gone now. Mac versions (1.1.1) are now AU 32/64, VST 32/64 PT AAX 64 (PT 10.3.6 and up). PC version for VST 32/64.

If there is anything wrong please send me an email. I am not as often here on forums as I used to be. Thank you!

I'm looking for an effect that will simulate "TX816" setup -

that is, 8 seperate voices slightly detuned from one another, and panned left to right on the spectrum.

Does this fit the bill? how many concurrent "voices" does the Dim D plugin create?

We made a video of the Dim D, after updates towards 1.1.4 for the PC version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osi2br7UvJs Beside that we made (finally) the AAX plugin version for PC. If you want to test it, please inform me using our support emailadres on our website.

The Dim D is a different machine. Only two voices combined with some smart eqs. But you can try to see if you like it. The demo is freely available on our website.
