Awesome. The low-action on the Kick demo does exactly what it's needed for that kick.

I should have said "hiss" not noise. Sorry.

Tape hiss kinda works like a harmonic plaster, so for a tape emu it is important. Some very famous people actually add tape hiss to digital, but I never told you that.

$10 bucks for a "case" of beer! whats that £6? That would just about cover a pint and pack of nuts where I live.

Ciao quintosardo!

Thanks for sending me!

I just started playing with it on a work-in-progress.

First impressions are very nice! Roundtone can add subtle effect that can be very usefull on my kind of work (classical, instrumental,...).

I don't know how 'true' to tape it can sound but surely it can add subtle tape colour and feel that I'm really liking!

Congrats for a great work!

Grazie mille!!!
Ciao!
ave.

Talking

2 big thumbs WAY WAY WAY WAY UP!!

I ran several mixes through this plugin and I'M FLOORED!!

This thing sounds REALLY REALLY REALLY close to my Tascam 38 on certain settings.

I'm really kind of bummed out by this.

Whatever the hell it is that's going on in this plugin is EVIL in a good way.

I'm talking BBQ chicken good!!hehhehhehheh

Peace

New Tape Emulation - "Roundtone"

Love it to. Really sweetens vocals.
Tried the piano and its does seem to distort digitally when pushed a little. Magneto seem to do the same thing.
Kind of liking this more then the other one though. Great plugin.

Nice plugin. Nice, subtle effect. I haven't tried pushing signals yet.

It will be very useful on tracks I get that were done completely in software.

I actually like the dry ones better myself.

The best 10$ i spend in 'equipment' in general.

The sound is handled with great care and taste in this plugin
it's definitively got that 'Analog Warmth' and you can dial the amount
of character to taste easily from nearly transparent to fully abused
analog tape.

Great !!

You are right. It is actually hard to make it sound better when I've been the recording engineer. Ah ah! (joking, of course )

I think for the Kicks and Bass music in general
based on sample really does their dirty work.

I hope to prepare other samples with other types of Kicks and Bass sample
electronic and electrical

This plugin shows up in stereo only in PT9, anybody get it to work in mono? Thanks

Yeah, that would be an issue with the vst to rtas wrapper, stereo only unless the plug has been modified to show up in mono by the developer (I believe.)

Tried it, first impression: extremley subtile when browsing through the presets. Have to dig into it some more today...

I'm sure he is.. and I can see why. Audio gets completely uninteresting when it's noise or hiss free. Often times people find the addition of noise pleasing even if it's only subconciously noticed. The charme of old recordings is also partly due to tape hiss/noise and not only the saturation IMHO.
Furthermore every recording from analog - be it via a microphone or any other analog stage - contains noise.

Noise is most definitely part of the analog world, so why shouldn't it be part of an emulation of that world?

Does Roundtone have a gange function where all instances can be modified simultaneously?

It is being tested for the next (free) update. A bypass button and every parameter. Activate the "machine" mode and move everything from any single instance.

Even though I don't see myself using this kind of function at all.
