Custom Australian Guitar amps.

Hey Guys,

Over the past few years Sherlock amps have been hard at work on the design of a bunch of new Australian Built amps!

Most people know of our Fathead 100watt amp but their is now alot more to the Sherlock Line up (mind you that's only in Australia, for all others i'll add someinfo about the Fathead at the bottom).
Sherlock makes some of Australia's best boutique amps and now our line up gets even stronger!

First there is the Vintage 30

These Amps are dedicated to simplicity of operation and the purist of tone.
Hand Built the same way they were before PCB technology was available, using point to point wiring techniques, vintage style components like carbon resistors, malaroy caps and hand wound transformers, theses amps produced authentic vintage tones with the reliability of a modern day build.

Next we have the Buddy

Perfect for small gigs, recordings or just taking around to a mates place for a jam.
This little amp features a 12 inch speaker powered by an El84, 15 watt; class A push pull output stage. We wanted to keep this amp as simple as possible so we have included only the bare essentials like a single Input, a Volume, and a Tone control.
But don't be fooled this little amp can provide a very decent clean volume but when push into blues territory produces creamy rich break up and is quite loud.

Now the Buff Tone

Named for its clean, polished sound, the Buff Tone is a single channel amp voiced in the tradition of classic American tone. Although closely related to our successful Vintage Reverb 30 Amps, this big brother includes some added features that greatly increase its versatility.

And Finally the Fathead 30watt
For all who love that fathead but it's all a little to much. This little brother will have the same destroy the world tone but in a much more accessible package.

An honorable mention goes to the new Sherlock Cabs
With Sherlock amps new CNC Machine we can built a cab just the way you like it to the highest of standards!

If you have any questions about our new amps or are keen to give them a try, give me a yell and we can sort something out!

And here is the Fathead!

The FAT HEAD represents the culmination of years of research and development invested by Sherlock Amplifiers in creating an amplifier with an entirely analogue tube powered audio path that can be shaped and controlled with almost infinite potential. Covering sounds from bell like clean to classic crunch rhythm to heavy modern rhythm to creamy super hi gain, it is the most flexible, best sounding, all tube amplifier ever made.
The FAT HEAD's features and controls have been carefully chosen and fine-tuned to bring you pristine tone and unprecedented versatility. 4 channels, each with 3 voicing options plus a mid scoop option gives you a total of 24 sound possibilities, not taking into consideration a highly effective EQ. And that's just the preamp! Then add the option of Master Volume, A or B, the uniquely voiced Presence A or B, each with a depth button, makes 192 sonic combinations. Then with the addition of a multi effects unit to the effects loop, operating in either series or parallel, gives you … well, you get the idea.
The use of state of the art tube circuit design, coupled with high quality components used throughout, puts the FAT HEAD in a league of its own in both performance and reliability. We are yet to find anything that comes close to creating such an expansive range of high quality, exceptionally musical sounds, let alone delivering it with such a staggering level of flexibility and controllability. So whatever your style of playing, the FAT HEAD has your sound!

Also if you get a chance check out our T.M.S system that lets you bias the fathead however you like.
