I want the plug, just the plug. No transients or sound packs for an affordable price.

Supersonic will be offering samples in SPLX format soon!

The current Supersonic library is in 24bit WAV format so it is fully compatible right now.

SOUNDS: guys, just click EDITOR in the GUI (on the left). You can load WAV files now(!), and you can make your own MULTI-SAMPLES now...(!)
You can even throw in Steven´s sounds (we don´t disagree that they are good!) and make them SPLX format files. ANY wav file or any bunch of wav files will do the job.

Also, we have offered other companies to release SPLX files, and there will be some out very soon. Don´t forget, this plugin is not even released for sale yet, we´re in beta tests, public ones though.. :-)

Cheers, Dirk.
Hey Dirk,

Now that's what I'm talkin' about. Not so much about the Slate sounds, but ANY sounds. And that makes all the difference. Good look...

Nope. Wrong definition of Native.

For those of us that wn this but already have transient Designer..

Hey Dirk,
I saw you mention earlier you guys wuld be taking into account those of us that have Transint Designer..
I already have that plug, and LOVE it. Sees use on nearly every session.. But of course, having paid best part of £200 for it... What kind of a discount will you be offering people in my boat? And will that be availble from the word go, along with the regular version? As i'm 99% sold on this plug!

RE: Drumxchanger

Nice work on the demo hope the manual comes out soon to really put the demo through it's paces. It also is refreshing that a company delivers a product when they say they are. I have to say I am really disappointed with SS Digital too much hype with no tangible results. Keep up the good work have been a SPL user for some time.

@SPL
i tried the demo version on PT 8
woks good, and the plug seems really good... but i really dont like the samples kit into the demo pack, kick, snare and toms (10,12,14,16) sounds really bad.... i hope in the commercial version we'll have better sounds.

We will definitely have discounted offers for Transient Designer owners.
And we will indeed also try to find an easy way to include all users of the UAD Transient Designer!
Also, we will have a special intro pricing in the first month, as always with SPL.
We´re working on the details after Easter, please see our announcement when the sales start.
Cheers, Dirk.

The DrumXchanger, when you only use the "Original" path, is a complete Transient Designer, so the full TD is "in the plugin" anyway. That´s why we will add it, everything else wouldn´t really make sense.

And as mentioned before we will have intro pricing & upgrade paths from existing Transient Designer ilok auths etc.

Would be amazing to have a UAD Tansient Designer to Native Transient Designer crossgrade.
Getting bored of maxing out my UAD DSPs while leaving the I7 almost untouched!

Hey Dirk,

I am demoing your plugin at the moment and i keep getting a problem with
samples being randomly polarity flipped when recorded to another track.
I took a screenshot today although forgot to bring it home but will post it
tomorrow.

I used the editor to create a single sample 'preset', and have the blend at
100% recording to a separate track. I've tried playing with the dynamics
dial but still get certain triggered samples polarity flipped.

It's otherwise seeming pretty accurate. Any advice?

p.s It would be nice if you could 'side-chain' the TD part of the plugin into
the detector signal the same way you can use the high/low pass to get a better
trigger. I know i could put a TD plug before Xchanger to achieve the same thing,
but there's 2 TDs in there being unused for me otherwise. Thanks!

Thanks! I´d ask you to send me the info (pic, files maybe) to [email protected] rather than posting them here.
Once we have checked and (eventually) fixed any problem you might have found we can post the info here.

Regarding your request: we are actually working on making the first TD available for the sidechain! :-)

Cheers, Dirk.

Is this plugin 100% phase accurate?

Also, does it have a midi in/out?

I'm planning on going from like this:

dDrum triggers --> Alesis Trigger I/O (Midi) --> Drum replacement

This should work, even with the audio track generated.
We will add MIDI in/out later.
Please DO TRY the beta version or trial version so you can check this specific setup though and see if it works ok with you!

Cheers, Dirk / SPL.

Same experience here.

Would also be nice if the rim samples were tuned to more closely match the tuning of the non-rim samples.

Otherwise, this is very promising! Get that polarity thing figured out and I'll be a customer.

For what it's worth, I think this plugin is the BOMB. Once I figured out the dynamic range selection thingy, I was very very happy with what it does.... and it does it infinitely better than anything else out there, all of which I own.

To all:

I guess the DYNAMICS knob is VERY important when trying to trigger a dynamic performance. The more dynamics a drummer has the harder it usually is to replace a snare drum track "perfectly" - especially if perfectly means NO mis-triggering AT ALL...

But with a drummer that plays dynamically intentionally (aka a "good drummer"... :-)) you will still be able to get great results.

The weaker the drummer the weaker any drum replacement performance, but this is true for almost everything releated to music... the sound really does come from your fingers... :-)

Please bare with us for a couple of days before we finally release the manual, as this will surely explain some of the "less obvious" knobs on the DXC...

In the meantime I wish all of you much fun with the extended beta trials.

We will definitely have some nice surprise for the release version...!

Cheers, Dirk / SPL.

Hey Dirk, does this mean the 21 day trial licenses are going to be extended until release now? As that would be amazing, i've been really delving into the plug in but am about to go away for a week, most likely meaning i've very little time to play with it when i'm back!! Very much set on buying as soon as it's released, as it's interface just totally works for me

UAD:
We will offer ALL UAD Transient Designer customers the Native ilok license for the SAME price that SPL customers need to pay for the upgrade from TD to DXC, and it will be only 149 EUR net for the DrumXchanger including the SPL Transient Designer (native version) and the SPL Drum Library. This offer will be valid from this Wednesday on (April 21) until May 20.

MIDI:
we will add this feature (MIDI in/out) with V1.2 of the DrumXchanger which will be a FREE upgrade, and it will definitely be this year. We´re estimating a few weeks from now. No definite date yet, but take my word for that it won´t be too long...

This being said: the sales for the DrumXchanger will start on Wednesday, with a special intro offer for everybody and the "megadeal" for all Transient Designer users, SPL or UAD...

Cheers, hope this sounds fair to everybody.
Cheers! Dirk / SPL.

Absolutly fair.

I can't wait. BTW do you know if FXpansion BFD packs or Platinium sample packs can be used in DXC?
