Hi Paul,

Is the retail price the current sale price?

Paul,

Other than the meters/case, what is the difference between this and the edward?

X,

The P38 input is transformer coupled, there is a + 14db gain switch for dealing with low levels. It is capable of much higher compression ratios, it has a +/-6db balance control, there is also a soft clip after compression that allows for another 3db, trs and xlr in and out.

Paul,

Are these only being sold direct? Where can I hear one in the Nashville area? Is the MSRP what you sell them for?

Call the guys at Pro Audio Solutions 615-742-5291. They should have some in their store in about a week.

Super clean path, lots of control, very musical, fat, love the 4 modes.

Makes all my masters better ... more options than an SSL alone.

Width control is awesome for tightening up the low end ...

Is the compressor in the P38 similar to the Mighty Twin? Are the pres a colored sound or were they going for more uncolored?

Ted Fletchet tfpro P38 P10

bdunard-

The P10 can be used as a dual mono or stereo compressor. It uses matched opto cells (when linked) and a class A discrete transistor make-up amplifier.

The P38 is a stereo or single mono compressor, it uses an m/s matrix and has a switchable transient release control.

Both units have the same four compression "modes".

The pres in the P10 "Mighty Twin" are transformer coupled and have alot more top end than Ted's earlier designs, they are flat from 8Hz up to 50KHz. There is a variable phase control on each channel that provides phase shift from 0 to 180 degrees.
As far as "clean", "colored", "dark", "bright", "warm", I would rather leave that up to you. If you should have any trouble getting your hands on a demo drop me a line [email protected] or give me call.
