The P10 can be used as a dual mono or stereo compressor. It uses matched opto cells (when linked) and a class A discrete transistor make-up amplifier.
The P38 is a stereo or single mono compressor, it uses an m/s matrix and has a switchable transient release control.
Both units have the same four compression "modes".
The pres in the P10 "Mighty Twin" are transformer coupled and have alot more top end than Ted's earlier designs, they are flat from 8Hz up to 50KHz. There is a variable phase control on each channel that provides phase shift from 0 to 180 degrees.
As far as "clean", "colored", "dark", "bright", "warm", I would rather leave that up to you. If you should have any trouble getting your hands on a demo drop me a line
