Washburn Guitars Announces the Baby Jumbo

New Addition to Acoustic Line Offers Powerful Jumbo Tones from a Compact Stage-Friendly Guitar

Chicago, IL. — September 11, 2007— Washburn Guitars, a division of US Music Corporation, announced today the addition of the Baby Jumbo series to their stellar line of acoustic guitars. The Baby Jumbo is ideal for musicians who enjoy the sound of a jumbo-body guitar, but prefer a compact-sized instrument that is player and stage friendly.

The Baby Jumbo series includes the WB400SW and the electrified and cutaway WB400SWCE. The body length of both guitars has been compressed and the lower bout enlarged, while still retaining the original body volume of concert-sized guitars, thereby creating a larger vibrating top surface around the bridge. The end result is a full, balanced sound from a sleek, highly playable guitar.

“The addition of the Baby Jumbo series further strengthens our versatile line of acoustic guitars,” said Jody Dankberg, Director of Marketing and Artist Relations at Washburn Guitars. “Our meticulously crafted and visually stunning Baby Jumbo allows musicians to play a smaller version of our popular Jumbo series without sacrificing any of the full voice and tone they crave.”

Both Baby Jumbo guitars are crafted with solid rosewood sides and back, along with an ebony fingerboard and bridge. The WB400SW features a solid cedar top, Grover® gold tuners, and a bone saddle and nut. The WB400SWCE offers a cutaway, allowing for convenient access to the upper frets, while featuring a solid spruce top along with Washburn’s exclusive, B-Band-designed pre-amp system.

• Solid rosewood back and sides
• Mahogany neck
• Ebony bridge and fingerboard
• Bone saddle and nut
• Ivory binding
