I hope these are great, and I hope they are popular enough to expand into midfield offerings.

Now this is interesting to get to try some of Tannoy Dual Concentric well reknown. Lets hope that even though it would be hard to expect these to sound like their higher end Hi-fi or big studio Monitors Dual Concentric speakers but hope that Tannoy try as much as possible to deliver that sound many rave about and love about their amazing Concentric speakers.

Really really curious to get the 8"

Must admit, they're daaaamn sexy

I wonder if the prices are correct. If so, and they sound good, these will be a huge hit.

they look very good and prices are really cheap. Hope they will keep the quality of the old ones.

I suspect those prices are for 1 speaker. Double it for the pair. Not sure, and hope not, but i think i read that in some early literature.

I think most monitors are priced on a "per" basis (not pair) these days... decade plus even. May be odd exceptions, but my brain always assumes that.

Blame surround?

Hm, i dunno about these being Tannoy, to be honest, they're "Behringer". I don't expect these to rival my 12" Golds nor my 10" Little Reds in the slightest. An approximation would be great of course.

We've been discussing these in another thread. Class A/B amps with no visible heat sinks is a little suspect and the ports are odd. One can hope.. but what are the chances these will be anything like the Tannoys of yore.

Tannoy 800A were $1950 like 14 years ago....
How good these can be?? the tweeter looks the same as the ones in the 800A

I knew that had happened but when did Behringer actually take over Tannoy?? Always wanted a pair of the blue or red Reveals for home and never got any until a few years ago when the 501s were discontinued for the new 502s. Picked those up for about $75 a piece on closeout at Guitar Center and they are my favorite monitors ever.. No clue whether that was before or after Behringer though.. This would've been the beginning of 2012 or 2013 cause it was my tax return that bought em hehe.

The prices on these are like WOW if theyre the "real" Tannoys and not the cheaper "home studio" Reveals..

If the amp is internal, there could be heat sinks we cannot see so the turbulence of the port is regulated by some new patent-pending ("borrowed") amp-in-the-port "technology".

I seriously doubt these will sound the same as previous versions, just like the DMTs produced in the late 80s were different from previous versions. If they sound great, I am buying a pair. I too would like to have a new version of the 215s for my living room.

Those are excruciatingly cheap prices for monitors. Here's hoping that they sound amazing, don't hasten listening fatigue, and possess long-term reliability.

Yeah Im gonna be very interested in seeing reviews. I have no need for new ones, but Golds are way above a Reveal and this is what I would expect to pay for new Reveals so.. It IS just a name, but there is a certain expectation with that name so lets hope they stick with it. Ill buy some in a heartbeat and make room in here for em if theyre the real deal.
