Instant lo-fi gratification

I am having a issue where the GUI isn't updating parameters upon patch change...have only used in one particular host and session, so may be general GPU issues as I am on an older Mac Pro system running 10.9.5.

But the important thing, this is an unique addition to my lo-fi toolbox ;-)

The “Sunbaked Cassette” preset in the UAD Ampex ATR-102 plugin was the closest that I could get to this, no other tape plugin did anything as radically awful. Which for what I work on comes useful very often. This is even better, the definable dropouts sound really authentic. The GUI, imho, is also both easy to work with and fun. Great stuff!

The manual also contains some great info about the presets...the developer obviously very familiar with the musical value of such techniques. A plugin patch with a direct reference to Daniel Johnston's 'vibe' I think speaks to the developer's genuine understanding of the application and appeal of the effects gathered within 'Sketchcassette' ;-)

This is the coolest thing to come along in a while. I'd be using RC-20 for this type of effect but it lacks the compression and depth this does. It sounds like a real piece of crap in the absolute best way. Brings me back to recording on my old boomboxes.

So if your VST host doesn't support VST3 (Maschine and Reason for example), then you can't use SketchCassette.

It sounds really authentic.

Anyone compared it to Klevgränd's Daw Cassette?

Yes, they sound very different. SketchCassette is much more wacky and extreme than Daw Cassette, though it can also be used quite subtly. I like it better and I can see myself using it more.

CPU hungry, yes, maybe the developers will check this. But...
