tough call IMO, especially on the mix bus. I feel like Drawmer boxes can do that job really well.

If you're tracking, then obviously SB.

US$999 on Sweetwater

Looks a good unit to me.

But doesn't look like you can use it one channel at a time.

Still, good looking.

I just bought it and its great, I use the 1974 as my final EQ on my Mixbus..

I also just bought the 1961 I use it on my Hi Mid/Hi frequency instrument bus. I just like the 1974 but with color. Love the way it sounds just don't drive the input too hard.

After made like 4 projects with the 1976 I can say is fantastic! I more focus in metal, extreme metal like doom, black, old schoolish bands, and this box help me a lot to get that particular awful sound hahaha.

I have an analogue summing box feeding stereo heritage 1073 pres and a chameleon labs 7721 VCA compressor as my last stop, would my money be better spent on the Drawmer 76 or the eq 74 next? I can only afford one right now.
Cheers!

I just purchased the 7721 myself! It hasn’t arrived yet, curious how you like it? This will be my first piece of outboard gear, can’t wait!

I actually returned the 7721. I use a passive summing box so I would have needed a pre amp to go into the 7721 as it was unable to compress a softer signal. I bought an ssl clone from my buddy that he built which sounds way better than the 7721. I wanted to love it but it was a let down unfortunately. The other thing that sucked was the bypass on the 7721 didn’t bypass the make up gain so you have to use the wet/dry to A/B which gets annoying.
