Done; thanks.

If anyone wants to try to reproduce, I attached a simple test project.

To reproduce, simply open the project multiple times from Live's browser. After 1-5 times, the project will crash.

Update:

NoiseAsh wrote me back promptly and suggested I try the VST3 version.

I switched to the VST3 version, and it works fine.

These are excellent, excellent tools. Used them extensively today for the first time (and Pultecs in general) and they made a world of difference! Just inserting them imparts a nice coloration to the sound and then further tweaking can both solidify and polish the overall sound brilliantly. These simply sound fabulous!

I am pretty fond of the 6144 EQ.
How can these be better? The Apogee and NoiseAsh pultecs.

Yup, it continues to be picked in my Pultec comparison thread (including $3K Pulse HW) as the favourite.

It's the reason I didn't buy a HW clone

I would not say no to a 500 series Rubberband

Do you think this is better than AA Purple?

I picked it over Purple in the blind test. That was V1 though, Purple 2 is out and sound better than before.

FWIW I grabbed moose ash over Purple. The new-5 is negligible, but the eqp-1a IMO is a LOT better. Way tighter.

Just as a sidenote: Did you ever check out the McDSP Filterbank and the Channel G? I just recently demoed them and purchased them right away. And their ML4000 limiter...OMG!! These plugins were always under my radar but are my new goto plugins for eq/filter and compression since I purchased them.

No, but I'm a big fan of the 6050 channel strip.

Which would you choose out of FilterBank and Channel G?

Channel G, as it has an amazing dynamics section and these highpass/lowpass filters are so damn sweet sounding! For the electronic music I make this one is just killer!

Hmmm tempting, will have to demo it along with PSP Infinistrip when that's released. Cheers for the heads up!

You think FilterBank sounds better than Crave?

As much as I always loved the crave, yes, Filterbank and Channel G are my absolute favorites since I first demoed them.

And the cpu consumption is super low

Console G doesn't replace MH CS3 for me, so I'll stick with that.

FilterBank however, sounds very nice indeed. Just tested on male vocals, tempted to grab it. Bit more testing first though :¬)

Apologies for the OT chat NoiseAsh!

Serban Ghenea uses it, that's what put it on my radar. One of my most used plugins along with Crave (mixing).

The McDSP F202 can do proper Linkwitz-Riley crossovers at 24dB, which--by contrast--Goodhertz Tiltshift is a little bit soft in its resonance for perfection.

Everybody buy Noiseash Rule Tec though!
