Those buckets fill the entire 3rd screen now. wouldnt go past 125% though as it gets rather blurry fast
Hehe, for a moment I got really excited... So it's more like a screen zooming feature, than resize? Isn't that awful for people with retina and 4 k screens. Is this common for most companies, how to solve this problem, or is it Waves that's too lazy to do properly? How come it's so difficult? :(

I don't know they should ask Mc dsp lol , same bull**** ... kudos to ik because it's not even ratios but full values suites ...
For waves defense , they have a lot of gui's to work on but arturia did it , uhe , ik ect ...and all the new dev are ok with that (comes to audithing , vahalla , Nembrini , fuse audio labs even PA is slowy but surely doing it )

its not perfect but 125% is very usable. even larger views are better than using the OS lens or magnifier when you have to fine tune some values depending of the plugin.
it can be very difficult to exchange an ui framework if the underlying architecture does not support such swap. eventually they will have to do it and i would assume this is an intermediate fix to gain time.

It's an almost brand new plugin. I can understand why older Waves software can be a challenge to redo. CLA Hub is not going to get a remake in any near future. It doesn't make sense so close to the release date to change it from scratch. Maybe it's Waves trying to cut expenses in developing the software? I mean, their new pricing policy are so far from even just a few years ago. It seems like they are more focusing on hi content and lowering prices these days. Sorry for the OT

I know I've said this before but... This is such a great channel strip but Waves are seriously sucking a d**k on the the reliability of this one. Maybe I've been lucky up to now (knock on wood) but I have never, and i mean never, had so many crashes from a plugin. Ever. Such a bummer. I just had to delete it from my system as I couldn't even open a new project I'd started as it would instantly crash on launch. Deleted it and now everything's fine except I don't have that sweet plugin anymore. Ho hum... R.

i know that wont helf, but just as an added perspective.
win10, bitwig or reaper -> havent experienced any crashes yet. using this for nearly every project.
a daw that couldnt reliably run it was harrison mixbus (and through its shortcomings surely also Ardour on which its based) but beside it being a bit pointless running mixhub in mixbus it struggels anyway with every waves plugin and even with its own windows during redraw operations.

Running Waves plugins in Mixbus32c on Win10 all the time. No problems.

its a known and acknowledged problem..

Quote:
"The cause of the problem is fairly easy to infer: Ardour/Mixbus uses OpenGL hardware acceleration to draw some elements of the screen (specifically I know that any elements that have a gradient will try to use the hardware accelerator) (*). Anecdotally we know that Waves has always used OpenGL...

...is complicated by the fact that Windows has a single 'message queue' for each application's window, and this queue handles all the mouse, keyboard, and redraw events. If one 'draw' command gets stuck, then the queue can fill-up, and some of these UI messages get lost or ignored."
