Just a follow up. I'm currently mixing a collection of songs recorded with the WA251 and a female vocalist. It sounds absolutely amazing. What you hear in those demos is actually what it sounds like in real life, Warm didn't have to do anything special to make those demos sound so nice (I was worried about that). No EQ needed. So very smooth, open and thick, and it cuts through the mix so effortlessly. It also imparts a little bit of rich character onto the voice. I don't know how close it is to the ELAM251 nor do I care, but this is one gorgeous sounding mic.
