SKnote announce "Percolate" - Tube circuits at a component level.

Percolate is our new workbench for custom tube circuits, emulated at the deepest possible level: components with their "non-ideal" behaviour.

It comes in our new "Retube" range of effects, classic and custom circuits and components.

The first version of Percolate, available in a few days, contains custom circuits that include:

- Two input transformers.
- Two output transformers.
- Two output taps (pre-amp and stage 2).
- Tone filter (at the input, to shape the saturation).
- Compensated input gain.
- Input meters.
- Two power supplies: high-voltage and sagging.

The effect is mono or stereo and the circuits are designed to get lots of color that can be used through a handy, phase-aligned, Mix control.

Simply beautiful. Coming next week on www.sknoteaudio.com.

VST/AU/AAX/32/64 bit.

Introductory MSRP 19.99$ (final MSRP 49.99$)

***EDIT

A demo version (VST/AU/Win/Mac/32/64 bit) is available here

To install: unzip, pick your format, [unzip again if on Mac], [Rename Percolate.vst as Percolate.component if you need AU], put the file in your plugins directory.

Yes, but not in its first release, as I'm working on specific optimisation. I want as many as possible on a chip.

Not sure we have requirements about versions, should just work.

You mentioned transformers and power supplies but nothing specific about the tubes modeled. Did I miss something?

12AX7 is good. Did you model any NOS versions of those tubes, ie: Mullard, Amperex, Telefunken, RCA, etc? That would put you miles above everyone else.

How about some NOS power tubes by the same companies, eg: EL84s, EL34s, 6L6s, KT66s, etc?

We'll add details. Weird how we had to learn a lot about old things like hi voltage curve tracing, impedance measurements on tube circuits etc. in this digital era.
How yellow the pages of those books are!

The lowest we can but still component-level "Spice" realtime modeling!
I'll report some examples.

I'm curious to hear how these transformers compare to the transformers modeled in True Iron by Kazrog?
@ QUINTO : Any update on the ETA for this plugin?

Out in a few days, really. We found something interesting about the transformers so I took the time to add a slight change to the models. And a wider freq range (was a bit too heavy handed).

Trying to get it out this week.

Yeah on facebook it sounded too dark.

Yes it is quite heavy to be used with the mix knob but it was really too much. Dependes on the circuit and the models of the tubes (internal time constants). And also on how "real" the components are modelled (e.g. age of capacitors).

Cool SKnote coming soon...

Seriously how many threads do you want with a new product when clearly these are not released, not out of beta or yet to be finished. All these threads should be moved to ‘coming soon’. Instead they hang around for months on end and well beyond 2 months old since the original post. Don’t others see the click bait tactics?

Forgot i had this, just found it in my very old first thought "relic vst folder"it really is quite good.it reminds me a bit of a higher caliber/more refined version of PSP's Vintagewarmer, which i never liked.very fiddly to use though.there's so many moving parts so to speak

publice demo?.....

Is this eventually going to happen with all your plugins,or is this a special case scenario?reason i ask is i have never had issue with your refund policy not once, but demos are just generally more convenient overall
