Nice update!
Will the ability to save a default group for VCC ever come back? I really miss this feature.

Our virtual studio had a termite problem.

Edit: I see in the change log that noise was eliminated. I woulda put that in big bold letters at the top of this release post, but okay.

Noise reduction on EQ modules

Steven: by having reduced the noise on the EQ modules, has it changed their sound in any way? Is the high end exactly the same?
How was this accomplished?

Thank you in advance for addressing this as I'm sure many are curious to know.

Hi guys, we took a poll and most people wanted the noise removed from the noisy modules, so it's gone. I don't believe it will change the sonics other than the fact that there won't be noise. But if you like noise, just turn it ON in VCC. FG-116 and VTM also have noise options. Personally I like VTM noise the best, it's the most dynamic and sounds the best if you want some vintage vibe.

Cheers,
Steven

Did people really complain about the color of Trimmer? Great update, loads a lot faster now.

It would be amazing to have the option to mix without oversampling but
render with oversampling on without having to go to each single instance of VMR every time we render a mix.

Watched the video and wasn't very enthused at first, but the noise elimination and oversampling are very welcome. I'd still like to see individual modules and a global mix control though.

Black modules load faster than blue.

I very much appreciate the noise being removed from the eq's, thank you. Saves me quite a bit of headache. Dream strips will also be helpful in my day to day workflow.

Good stuff!

Thanks Steve

Really hoped Trimmer would go bye bye. Every module needs a gain stage.

This should be an incremental update...2.0?

I don't think Trimmer can go bye-bye (or at least, not easily) just due to the sheer number of projects that use it. I still wish they had just put input and output trims on the header for each module, but instead we got Trimmer so it'll be here to stay.

I love that the GUI is cleaner now and without "digital wood".

+1 for a "oversampling only when rendering" option.

2.0 could be a ‘new’ product. Independent of 1.0. Have them both in your plug folder if you need backward compatibility.

Did I misunderstood something, or Dream Strip is just the same thing as saving a preset of VMR on my DAW?

Well, I guess it's a bit more accessible.

Loving everything about this new update.

I'm actually going to be using the preamps now that the noise is removed. Most definitely going to be using the oversampling since I'm always working in 44.1. The Dream Strip tabs feature seemed a bit gimmicky at first but I'm already using them.

Only complaint is that it seems to be a bit glitchy but I'm sure all of that will be ironed out in the near future.

Would love to see a simplified version of the Eiosis e2deesser and a gate module sometime in the future.

Anyone know how to just replace the module in Slot A with another module? Example:

1. Load an instance of VMR
2. By default, VCC is in slot A, slots A - F are in use
3. I want to replace the VCC in Slot A with the 73 Pre
4. Click and drag the 73 and put it on top of VCC

Result: not allowed

5. Ok, remove the VCC in Slot A
6. Add the 73 Pre

Result: The 73 Pre gets loaded to slot G.

Expected Result: the 73 pre gets loaded to the next lowest available slot (Slot A).

Is there any way to just replace one slot with another without having to clear everything and rebuild the strip from scratch?
