Chris, it's now working correctly, L and R channels balanced equally.
Don't know what kind of Christmas magic you using, but what i got as a difference between both C5 and dry mixes, is a straight freq roll up, like one you showed in ToneSlant video. So it supposed to be EQ-like effect on mix, but i don't hear it comparing dry and C5 mixes! ))) It's something different happening under the hood.
Here what i got after simple experiment: recorded pink noise to a wav, just dropped it on 1 track, put on C5channel and C5bus one by one.
The difference file spectrum is showing what i described. But i don't hear it comparing mixes!

So i suppose now it works as you designed it ? (which is a dark Christmas mystery)
But i also liked what previous unstable DC version of C5 does..
"weird-DC" version seems sounded rich and deep, and the latest stable one also sounded nice, kinda adds sparkle or so..
So it's a dilemma now, i can't decide which version to use! ))) Too many choices
