Software Kuassa Efektor CP3603 Compressor

Hi guys, happy to announce our newest addition of the Efektor Pedal Effect Series called CP3603 Compressor!

For a firm, better, well balanced guitar tracks.

Completing your virtual pedalboard with our Efektor series, now introducing: KUASSA CP3603 Compressor unit. This unit is a result from endless research of many compressor pedal, a lot of characteristics, and finally we narrowed down everything into one st unit that can represent many other compressor pedals in a straightforward package.

Product details
Guitar players. Bass players. They are the same. They love long sustaining notes. A Compressor is the one thing that should help with that desire. It is an effect that is not always sounds too obvious, but when taken away, it’s surely will be missed. A compressor will suppress the loudest part of incoming audio signal, based on the specified threshold. Following the ‘compression’, it will increase the softer signal, narrowing the dynamic range thus delivers a more consistent overall level. And please take note, although this unit is designed specifically for guitar and bass players, you can also use it on any other instruments as well. Well, why not?

There are three types of compression style in this unit:
1. VCA: Stands for “Voltage Controlled Amplifier”. It’s fast, modern, and sounds very clean.
2. FET: Stands for “Field Effect Transistor”. Known for its aggressive behavior and also adds distinct color to the resulting sound.
3. OPTO: Shorts for “Optical”. It has the slowest reaction, but gives more characteristics and tightness to the result.

Key features:
* Faithful hardware pedal effects emulation
* Three types of compression style
* Linked or dual-mono mode
* Bypass switch button

PC & Mac – 32-bit & 64-bit – VST – VST3 – Audio Unit – AAX compatible

It's available for purchase for Holiday/Intro Sale price at $19 (normal price $25) starting tomorrow for taking over this weekend.

These Efektor pedals come in handy when you want to build guitar chain ITB bypassing stock ampsim fx. Also good for keys. Sound good and are versatile in their settings. You get three tone options in each mod pedal, even five in drive pedals.

Congrats on yet another addition to the series!

Rotary pedal and wah-wah next please! Your fuzz calls for his two old buddies to go full-Hendrix

How do you like it? How do other owners like it? I don't need another general compressor, but if it's tailored for guitars in a way that other compressors aren't then maybe it's worth buying.

I was wondering about this as well...

why don't you try the demos of these stomps? No time & feature limit. Noise every 40 seconds. that's not too bad. also try out Dimi's patches if stock ones not enough. bunch of sound examples on SC and YT done by Dimi as well.

I did not bother with comparisons, I like them as they come, but it's better if you hear it and figure out for yourself. that's what I do and I wouldn't recommend otherwise.

The demo would be the best way, I agree entirely, but my plugin folder is so stuffed with compressors that I don't even want to spend the time trying the demo unless it's something special. I love Kuassa's effects, so I'm already a fan, but gtr fx are a very different thing, and harder to find in the plugin world.

Yes, how many compressors are designed by or for guitar? Including this new Efektor, I count only six in my collection. The VCA mode of CP3603 is the standout for me.

EDIT: I should also point out that the CP3603 is dual mono, so the stereo channels are compressed independently by default. Link control to set them to work together.

All the best Kuassa!
