Can I remove the yellow sticker? That edge is lifted and I would love to pull it off. That's the only negative I can say about this plugin.

The sticker is removable.

You can also remove it by deleting the sticker file from your drive.

That would mean you coud also put your own stick on it. I might 'polish' the front panel while I'm at it.

Yes it works, there's an option 'MIDI Output' that can be enabled via the menu (when you click on the yellow text).

Yes but only on the .vst it seems. When you open the receiving track the AU doesn't show ABL3 in the 2nd midi from dropdown.

Is there a way to drag'n'drop patterns into live (or bitwig?)

Not on my rig atm, just save the pattern as midi or record the pattern using abl3 midi out to a midi track and export midi?

Excellent product update from an already great product. Thanks for the nice upgrade price.

There are some minor things I'd like to see improved. I'll drop you an email as soon as I have the time to gather them

It sounds very 303, very analogue, if I may say so. You saved me a lot of money

ABL3's square is so rubbery, it sounds identical to my x0xb0x. The matrix programming mode is much faster than anything else. This is perhaps the only VSTi which makes me think software can be better than hardware. Its got that sound!

am i missing the distortion on the gui? In logic, distortion can be automated but i cant find it on the actual gui?

3.2.2:
ABL3.2.2 UPDATE

Changes
- Fixed: VCF Trim, Bass and Hipass knobs in Setup page now respond properly
- Output clipping in Patch menu now works, and activates a hard limit on the output to not exceed 0dB
- Improved Resonance knob response between 60-80% (i.e this range matches the original 303 better now)
- Fixed: On Mac plug-in version number in Finder now correct

Has anybody tried it side by side with the actual Roland Cloud plugin TB-303?

The Roland Cloud one has an awesome sequencer, randomize functions, and of course the sound. BUT it's tied to a subscription...

I will pit these against each other at the studio this weekend, just wondered if anybody had already done this and had any thoughts?

IMHO according to demo sounds, videos ABL is the closest to original TB-303 from any side of sound (osc, filter, dist etc), even since v2. Closer than any other software and hardware clones and even TB-3.
But I even can't imagine what they did with v3 and the latest updates, because they emulated more and more closer to TB-303 recently.

It would interesting to compare with Roland Cloud 303.

I'm using the ABL3 to sequence my Behringer TD-3. For some random reason, I find it easier to program acid patterns using the sequencer of the ABL3. Then I just export the midi file and paste it on my TD-3 midi channel. I can also retweek it if I need to. Sometimes it's handy to see the pianoroll outside of the sequencer, specially if you want to set another starting point for your loop, etc.
