There are bad problems that make this demo unusable in Studio One 3.1.0 on a Mac. The webpage says, "The demo version stops functionality after 90 secs, which can be rearmed by mouse click." I have used other TBproaudio demos which do function like this. But neither the AU, VST, nor VST3 versions will rearm. I have clicked all over the GUI and turned the plug-in on and off. But after 90 seconds, it will not function. That is not enough time to set up a sound and evaluate an EQ.

Also, the Processing Modes of "minimum phase max" and "linear phase max" do not work and do not pass audio.

The Processing Modes of "minimum phase high" and "linear phase high" do not work when 4x oversampling is engaged.

These issues make it impossible to evalute the plug-in in demo mode.

Sorry for my late response, i was quite busy to take care about your report.

Shift mouse click or reset button rearms demo time.

In deed there is a big problem with the OSX version, MP/LP modes are not activated correctly, sorry. I work on a fix.

regards

Ummmmm.... This looks pretty sweet. You absolutely outdid yourself on the gui. I can't wait to try this. Thank you!

Thanks. I will be checking out this new version. After I saw your post, I went in the manual and found the part about shift-clicking the GUI or hitting the reset button. I should have looked around more and I would have found that. But it probably wouldn't hurt to put those explicit instructions on the demo download page.

Tried v1.1. It seems to resolve the GUI issue, but I found new issue that CPU consumption is very high only loading instance, @win7 64bit Studio One 3.1.0

Thanks for the report: which gEQ12 settings (oversampling, MP/LP settings)?

Only loading, settings have not changed. No oversampling, zero Latency, all bands are off...

CPU spike still occurs in higher consumption mode. This is prominent at MP Max and LP Max Mode with 4x os.

Confirmed in Studio One 3.x. But do the spikes cause drop-outs?
No spikes/drop-outs in Reaper, Cubase, Wavelab, so i can only speculate what the display shows. In Reaper CPU load is even better than competition .
In any case: gEQ12 oversampling uses extreme high quality oversampling with very CPU intensive linear phase filters, just to get best OS quality.

Studio One never drops out. It keeps playbacking with making noise when Studio One's cpu meter hits 100%.
Then I tried with Sonar Platinum and FL Studio(both are latest version). Same problem happens and it causes drop outs in Sonar(FL also never drops).

Thanks for the report.
Similar issues with other plugins (with high latency)?
Thank you.

Well, sTilt uses the same convolution engine. Could you pls write me a pm with your pc specs (CPU, RAM, audio interface)? Thank you.

Look, the problem with any graphical utility comp that is being released these days is, that pro-q 2 already exists. In order to make me (and I am sure a lot of other people) care enough to even download a demo, you need to bring more to the table. So, convince me! In what way it this a substantial improvement over pro-q 2 to you?

No comparison against a specific product but against market:
  • "real" over sampling, up to 4x
  • hi-res spectrum analyzer with 32k FFT based ISO R40 frequencies
  • pre/post-EQ, average/live spectrum, stereo/left/right/mid/side
  • spectrum freeze mode
  • very easy alignment of filter response curve to audio spectrum
  • very efficient CPU usage design
