Messe 2015: Audient announces the ASP800

Aside from the eight console mic pres and two discrete JFET instrument inputs, ASP800 also has two 'Retro Channels' featuring revolutionary tone controls HMX and IRON. "Audient tends to be known for our super clean mic pres, but that doesn't mean we don't understand the importance of adding colour," continues Waterman. HMX is a custom harmonic distortion designed to emulate the sweet, thick tones often associated with 1960s tube designs, whilst Audient's brand new British transformer saturator, IRON instantly adds sparkle, replicating the coveted transformer 'zing' of British audio in the 1970s - both giving new dimensions to a recording. |

Really hoping for an Audient audio interface with the pres from the Mico.

I'd like to see an id44 - same feature set as the id22, but 4 preamp channels, 2 headphone amps, talkback mic and some other monitoring goodies. Still tabletop. $999.00 street.

iD14, 4outs + 2ins + adat input. USB2. Its been on justmusic magazine here in berlin since months. I was wondering when they were to announce it. 230 euros. very similar format to iD22 but seems smaller...

A&H yes that unit in the video does look different. Still hoping for a rack mount Audient audio interface that could replace my Focusrite Saffire Pro 24DSP/Mico combo. My ideal would be :-
1/ 2-4 Mico pres with HMX 2/ 2x separate headphone mixes 3/ Outputs for 2x studio monitors with a/b toggle switch 4/ Monitoring reverb 5/ Midi I/O 6/ iPad compatability Here's to hoping ;) |
I own an ID22, and I remember people asking for a biiger brother, Audient is the king of company that listen to customers, with a great customer service, which is fundamental.
