Soundelux U95S Threads at Bottom of Mic

I just bought a Soundelux U95S Prototype that has a Threaded Base where the XLR goes into. Does anyone know what the Threads are for? I noticed that U95's and U95S's all have this threaded base but the Cable that comes with the mic and all of the pix I see on the Internet don't show a Screw on type cable like the one that comes with a Tele U47. Was it for some kind of mic clip or different cable that screws on?

Thanks!
steve

Were not these the chinese body ones? I think the chinese bodies mic used that have a swivel type mount that use to go as an accesory with these. somebody step in and correct me as I am not 100% sure of this.

I don't have the model you are referring to but I do have a soundelux u99 and it has a special threaded mic cable that screws into the bottom of the mic.
