Bricasti M7 - version 3.0

So any speculations about this? What would you like to see? Different reverbs? Unreal reverbs? Other fx?

RKrizman 5th March 2014 01:09 AM

I want reverbs that occur in outer space where there's no air.

Casey 5th March 2014 04:46 AM

Lot's of good reverb in LA. The technology is getting close.

Nice! Decay measured in light years.

Try to get THAT itb.

mahasandi 5th March 2014 05:00 AM

I think 2.5 is next- Casey i vote for more outerspace 224 swishs
V1 = real
V2 = not as real
V2.5 = Unreal ????

I'd like to see some delays.. and finally using that tap tempo button for its feature.. gooof

I'm totally fine with all the verbs, halls, rooms, chambers and plates in the Bricasti v2 I own..

Eventually the ability to use a verb with a delay if needed.. or 2 different spaces (verbs, rooms, etc) at the same time.. dunno if that's possible or the quality will suffer from this..

Btw I love the Bricasti.. the only problem when you have one is that you want a second one..

Just my 0.02$,

Does it have an option to put delays on only lets say the right channel after the reverb? Havent checked. Would be cool

OurDarkness 9th March 2014 06:53 PM

I would love to see some extra "delay" engine, settings whatever... just to make things more interesting..

That would be nice... you know, like when you have a psychopath in a movie and he hears all these kinds of voices randomly telling him to do things, no early reflections lol, and a very tiny room..:amaze:

butterfly 9th March 2014 11:59 PM

Hi Casey,
Emulation of Capitol studios chamber would be very nice, to compete with the Sunset chamber; currently my fave preset. Please...pretty please?

carlheinz 10th March 2014 12:04 AM

2 filters lp/hp in series in the feedback loop of a multi tap delay or reverb ..with modulation

RKrizman 10th March 2014 10:29 PM

I want something that will take the original signal and turn it into a Beatles song.

bojan_1 11th March 2014 03:54 PM

my bricasti dream:
1 program with both a very small room and a concert hall or longer plate to be adjusted percentagewise. why?

so e.g. a vocal sound can be positioned/thickened with Django's room and a concert hall added in the relation 30/70.

but this will probably never happen, so everybody has to buy 2 bricastis...

Thank you Casey for making such a beautiful piece of art.

Hello: I don't own any Bricasti products and have only briefly heard one. But I just watched the video about the construction of the remote--very impressive. Hats off to Bricasti for making a high-quality product and making it in the US! Thank-you.

... a software plug in
seriously
it's all code anyway, just a different delivery system

But that code is written to take advantage of particular processors. All code is not the same, although many seem to assume so.

I strongly prefer Bricasti's choice of a powerful, known, stable environment. Who do you think pays for all the time it would take to re-code to multiple (arguably) inferior environments where the product has to compete with everything else for resources?

I appreciate the vision of the company. It's not like they are anti-plugin.There are plenty of plugins and to Bricasti's credit they have gone out of their way to both compliment and discuss reverb/delays algorithms openly with other developers.

I trust that they have chosen hardware for all the right reasons. And if someday they chose to move into the plugin world, I'll assume the right time has come.

Jvson 12th March 2014 03:17 AM

UAD Bricasti... 8). no code in that bitch, all hardware-signal path emulation

softshoe 12th March 2014 04:38 AM

what about dynamic reverbs / delays?

AllBread 13th March 2014 01:55 AM

My Bricasti does everything I need it to (expect output analog and digital at the same time). Granted, I have a TC2290 and an Eventide Orville for other effects but I like the simplicity of the Bricasti and it would be a shame to weigh it down with too many algorithms. What I like about it is that it takes about 15 seconds to find and tweak a great reverb. A dual engine one would be fantastic, though.

mahasandi 18th April 2015 04:38 PM

So will 3.0 allow for full use of analog and digital at the same time, allowing the converters to be used fully?

I made a bad call regarding the original design. I am truly sorry that this has turned out to be a headache for so many folks. #658

That is really admirable to acknowledge customers frustration~* #664

Casey and Brian rule!!!!

It will be fixed in V3. But V3 is a huge step and won't hit for over a year. #665

don't know .... and it's been a year maybe soon.... who knows!

Yes this will be fixed in V3. V3 is now less than a year away.

It will truly be great to get this mistake fixed!

Hey Casey,

I don't remember if this has been asked, but is v3 going to be a hardware upgrade or software only upgrade? If it is hardware, can you give us a heads up on cost?

Thanks

Casey 19th April 2015 07:33 PM

What I can say is this; If we ever do a software or hardware upgrade to the M7 that we charge for, the cost of a new M7 will be raised by the identical amount.

Understood, I recall reading that before, and appreciate it.

But is V3 going to be a software or hardware upgrade? I ask because I'm planning to upgrade and want to know if I should earmark funds for it.

Phenomenal- I just want to say how
exceptional your approach to business is.
Really admirable and loyalty building through the roof
You invest in your customers

BillSimpkins 30th April 2015 06:53 PM

A few Yamaha type verbs would be cool. A few "cheap" sounding verbs too so I can get rid of a few outboard pieces :P
Please, Please PLEASE put in a "PITCH CHANGE C" and "MICROSHIFT" type patch. It would be very handy (I know it's not verb, but hey, it would save me a lot of time and I would by another one just to have these noise free and on the remote.)
Love V2!
