Gear found
I stumbled into a new town and a surplus electronics store. Among many things I found some outboard gear in among the meyhim. Problem is I didnt recognise it all. There was an Otari... know what that is... Some Sure SC30's know what they are... some other familiar stuff and then a lot of stuff I didnt know.
Is anything on the folowing list worth getting my hands on?

Dukane (all sorts of stuff amps, mixers etc...)
Tapecaster (these apeared to be preamps...)
Wheelock AA-100
Bogen DMA 160
Lafayette Reverb R777
Ampex (I know what apmex is I just dont know what this thing is. All I coulf find was the moddle # 1441196-020 looked like something you would see in a mastering studio)
Calrad mic prees
TOA 900II A912MK2
Stanton 510

Any help on any of this is great,

There is a company called Dukane that makes gas grills and such...

Bogen is still around - mostly PA / paging systems and Grade-school type AV equipment.

Stanton has made things to support vinyl records over the years.

Post some pics, we might be able to help more. Plus we just like seeing pics of obscure gear.

I had a +-24V DuKane pwr supply that worked fine for my Scully 280's: not sure what else they made...

I'm not sure of the Calrad mic pre's, but they made some pretty cheap quality stuff, esp. their mic's: crystal mic's in the shape of RCA 77's, cheap shotgun mic's etc.

I'd check out the Lafayette reverb! kfhkh

anything Ampex would be worth checking out IMNTLBHO...

Stanton 510? what is it? They make good phono cartridges!

Hope this helps...

I think I will go back and buy the reverb unit. I want some good real reverb anyway...

I had no idea what the 550 was and could not google it either...

Hope this helps...[/QUOTE]

No Pics of the Ampex?
Depending what it is, that could be the most interesting piece...

That ATI unit looks interesting. Wouldn't spend much on any of these items so far.
