Cableguys VolumeShaper 3 in Public Beta

We've uploaded the VolumeShaper 3 public beta!

In short: "VolumeShaper is a plugin for shaping and automating the levels of any audio signal. From signature pumping effects to extreme gating, from tempo-synced stutter to precise sample-shaping, VolumeShaper provides a wealth of creative musical effects with a visual approach to volume. For Mac and Windows, as VST, AU or RTAS plugin."

New in version 3: A precise oscilloscope for helpful visual control, plus an option to trigger the LFO via MIDI notes.

We are currently running a public beta to make sure the finished product is stable and the best it can possibly be. Every bug report and feedback is very much appreciated!

This fixes an issue with garbled waveforms after clicking on buttons below the waveform. Also, MIDI In octave was offset by an octave, which is fixed as well.

Others:

- Retriggering the LFO via MIDI gives a nicer feedback in the oscilloscope (you should check this out!).
- The oscilloscope can be scaled now by clicking on the magnifier button.
- There's a new button for snapping wave points to the grid now.
- A couple of small layout tweaks.

All owners of VolumeShaper 1, VolumeShaper 2 or the Cableguys Bundle can find their VolumeShaper 3 license in their user account along with a full version beta now.

Hi Jakob. We just purchased VS2 and can only find a license for that in our user area-not VS3. And what's more, w/ v2 installed, v3 demo is no longer recognized in AU manager (Logic 9.1.6). We'd love to authorize v3 so any help would be great.

Ah sorry, thanks for letting us know! Indeed, I just realized I forgot to adjust our licensing code to automatically add licenses for VolumeShaper 3 for new customers .. so this is corrected now, and you can find your VolumeShaper 3 license and download in your user account.

Note that this is just a beta download, though (but with full unlocking). The final version will be released within the next 10 days.

Just wanted to understand... WHY do you guys make that extra room on the left and right side of the wave form when its not actually doing anything and is greyed out, I am trying your demo right now, that area is just distracting and makes the actual inactive part smaller. Just wanted you to explain the benefit of why you had the visualizer like that

This is to display the wave in context, as it is looping you can see on the left and right how the wave evolves. You can remove the left and right space by clicking the magnifier icon.

ohhh can you get rid of it?

We like to keep the default setting. But a simple click on the magnifier will do the trick for you.
