New condenser mic, i need a pair. Please advice.

Hi, i have a U87 and C414. I should buy a pair of another brand or another U87/C414? Thanks

yes

Usually it's best to get matched pairs.
But don't know how consistent the U87's are.
And i haven't tried any matched pair against two separate. So don't know how big the difference is.

What do you need them for?

Overheads, percusion, choir and other uses. I find C414 about $600 and U87 about $2,000 (a little expensive for me). I also consider a pair of AT4050. No mistakes alowed, because a live in Brazil and import gear is very hard. Thanks.

I would get another 414. It's not really important to get a factory-matched pair with most modern mics and the 414 is pretty much the definition of "desert island mic."

Thank you for answer.

Another 414 would be better than another U87, but you might want to consider a matched pair of Oktava MK012. That would give you a third flavor, and great value. Something like 600 bucks for a new pair and they sound great! If you don't yet have a small di mic, that'd be a good place to start.
