new videos - science of recording and sound

Hi -

I watched the new science of sound and recording videos and noticed that you did the final mixes of the song ITB.

  • Did you do the final mixes on the Yamaha setup with cubase in the videos?
  • Did you use the steinberg converters for tracking?

Seems that ITB recall and plug-ins are really the way to make records...thanks

My computer guy, Coley Read did it purely with the mouse and automation. We tracked through Digidesign HD converters - it was actually a Pro Tools session, not Cubase. Normally, I like having real faders for mixing ITB - the Yamaha 02R96 works well as a controller rather than a console, as does the Euphonix Artist series which I have been endorsing recently.
