Bic Runga

So yesterday I was reading the booklet for the Bic Runga-CD I've got (actually on my Top 5 list of GREAT records) and suddenly - I see it's mixed by you!

Congratulations on the best sounding record ever.

I love the sound of the whole record, but can you tell me what you did with the vocals? It's sounds so near and warm and I'm completely in love with it. Do you hapen to know which mic she used?

Another record I love is Magne F's Past Perfect Future Tense which you also mixed. Those two records are pretty similar in sound and mood, and I really must say you did a great job on both.

Actually they make my life slightly better, so thank you!

thank you, you're very kind. I have no idea what I did on those records but I doubt it's very far off from how I get a vocal sound that's I've discussed in other threads. I'm not much good at recalling what goes into the mixing of a record because I forget it as soon as I finish a mix. Sorry to give you so little insight but check the other threads, it'll give you a good clue.
