SCSI Mounting in OS X

Sad to say I just found out you can't do this if the drive is not turned on at startup. ouch

But what you can do is remount a drive that was unmounted.

Not as simple as SCSI probe, but anyway . . . .

open the terminal and at the prompt type
sudo autodiskmount
then you will have to relaunch (forcequit) the Finder (don't worry about that since the Finder is really just an application now you can do it while your running another application) and the drive will be there.
