Reading a MAC Data DVD on XP
I received a 3.5GB data file on a DVD from a MAC user. Actually I received 2 different disks. Whenever I try to read file xxxxxx.DV from the disk, I get the message

"Cannot copy xxxxxx: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

I can copy the disk using PLEXTOOLS.
On one of the disks, I was able to read the data file from the copy. On the other disk this trick did not work. The disk is good because another MAC user took the disk and made a playable DVD from the file - but it rather work from the original rather than the compressed DVD.

I have tried this DVD on at least 6 different computers (all running XP) and I get the same result every time.

I thought Data DVDs were a standard format across platforms. Any clues as to what I'm missing here - is there a way I can access this file on a Windows box?

i think the dvd has to be in UDF format to be recognized universally
