uad ultrapak on the cheap
 

anybody know where to get the uad ultrapak for less than $1,199? under a grand?

I jsut got a quote from them, and they quoted me $1049.

that's what I hate about non-advertized prices.

Since I used to work there I can get it for like $802 plus tax. But that's for me :)

if you go to their website that's what they have listed. i called them and told them i could get it for $990 and they quoted me $980 shipped. i ended up getting it cheaper from another dealer though.

How is that going to help us if you don't tell us who the "other dealer" is, and what you ended up paying?

well in my experience only places like sam ash will and musicians friend will even check to see if your price exists. 8th street music has it for like $1099 and there's a 10% off coupon which brings it to $990. anyways it's like buying a car, just ask them to talk to their manager and see what's the best they can do on it.

i ended up paying $950 but don't want to get the dealer in trouble by saying who it was.

why would giving a dealer business get you in trouble? or do you give them a lot of business and this was a favor?
