Bogner Uberschall (original version)
Diezel Herbert
Marshall 71 Super Tremolo 100 watt (modded by Dave Friedman)

I LOVE the Splawn. Great JCM800 kind of tone with some hot-rodded sounds if you want. Did a few tracks with Billy Idol earlier this year and Steve Stevens loved the Splawn so much he ordered one just like it. This one has KT-77 tubes so it's a little fuller on the low end.

The Splawn is an amp that I've heard great samples of but wasn't into it when I tried it. Could have just been a bad moment but the day I went to buy my Herbert the guy had a Splawn and I cranked it up for about 10 minutes and was underwhelmed, I thought it was gonna slay me and it didn't. Maybe my Paul didn't agree with it but that day the Herbert blew it to pieces. Who knows, my head was in drop tuned evil mode not a 'Fair Warning' mode, though I did pull out some Unchained, I'll See The Light Tonight and Bark At The Moon.heh

I'd love to hear some samples you tracked.

I havent plugged it in in a good 6 months now due to lack of time and space, but i only use 1 ADA MP-1 with the Hush in the loop into the Quadraverb into the TC 1140 into the ADA B200S power amp (which is solid state, but i like it more than the tube Carvin TS-100). I sold the Carvin Quad-X pre a little while ago, looks awesome in a rack but the dirty tone didnt do it for me. The clean was beautiful though. Also the Aphex Compellor and Behringer unit are only in there to fill rack spaces and dont actually do anything.

Hmm, fine collection indeed... I should have taken a picture when we were doing an amp shootout in our studio, if I remember correctly we had Mesa Dual Rectifier, Engl Ritchie Blackmore signature, Engl Powerball, Soldano SLO100, Soldano SP77, Orange Rockerverb 100, Diezel VH4 and some Marshalls :P

Soldano and Orange are my all time favorites I must say. I really need to keep my camera on more often :P
