This might sound weird.

I was in my studio working of course and just happen to glance up at the TV and saw, I think a new video by Johnny Cash. It's an alright song in all but the mix sounded really great from what I could hear of the TV. Big build up in Chorus's.
You guys should check it out.
Believe me I'm an Hip hop/R&B guy but for some reason the song and video caught my eyes and ears.

Anybody else checked it out?

Could be because Rick Rubin is producing him these days...

IMO, the last 4 Cash records ( the Rick Rubin ones) have all sounded fantastic. The one with the Nick Cave song, "Mercy Seat" sounds as big as anything ever..

Johnny Cash could do techno and I'd like it... All the american recordings are classics (I didn't have to wait 20 years for) to me. There aren't that many records in the last ten years that I can consistantly pull out and enjoy over and over without getting sick of them in 5 minutes.

Already did... The "Essential Johnny Cash" double cd is one of the greatest "road trip" collections of music ever.
