Video card Waves issue

Years ago there was an issue with Waves plugs, where if you used integrated Intel Graphics on the PC, the total number of waves plugs you could use was limited to like 16 or something. I remember because it was a known issue back in like 2013 when I was having my PC built by ADK. I ended up upgrading to another graphics card and it resolved the issue. I am getting close to getting a new studio computer and would like to save some money and use integrated graphics for my intel based PC. Does anyone know if that old Waves issue was fixed?

I'm pretty sure there are no issues like that.... 99% certainty.

For 100% certainty, a quick call to Waves Sales or Support and you would know. They have great support. Generally little wait times, and a very large data base for questions like this.

And I speak from experience. After 3 Team Viewer sessions for a total of 6.5 hours I learned quite a bit about Waves.

And I like UAD just as much.

While I know nothing about that specific issue, there are ABSOLUTELY issues with Waves plug ins and UHD630 (intel) GPU....crashes interacting with various elements of the UI, like in the Brauer Motion (a specific one I remember because I didn't buy it after the demo)....they're not alone--Ivory doesn't work with it in Mixbus, but does in Cubase--does that little fade in thing when you open it that freezes the app.

I finally got tired of all the little GPU limitations and just put a RX570 in....all problems went away immediately in every host app....

That’s what I was afraid of. I’ll just have them upgrade to a graphics card for the build. Thanks for the information!
