guitar player seeking advice on how to record on smartphone...

Hi
Im a complete newbie as of recording... Id like to record my guitar parts with my smartphone (Android), not for pro recording, just to store stuff easily and fast (of course a very good rendition of my sound will be greatly appreciated).
Im in need of suggestion on how to do it, Id like to record possibly 2 mics (one near one distant) at once but will also evaluate simpler options.

What puzzle me unfortunately is the whole chain... what do I need after the mics? an interface? are there any sw for android smartphones?

Thank You very much for any help on this
Best Regards

With Android devices unfortunately you're very limited in terms of interfaces. I'd suggest going for the simple approach with an iRig pre. Single mic but it works nicely, with decent quality.

If you're handy you can make your own cable.
Example, Google (diy micro usb host otg cable) or what ever cable your phone takes.

the device will need USB host mode, Looks like mostly tablets, plus Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, S8, S9, S10 and some others.

Hi,

Maybe something in the list?

Also, you can try to find a used iRig Ua interface from IK Multimedia,
(no longer made) with it's Amplitube UA software, discussed in the
2nd/3rd videos.
It requires a compatible Samsung phone or tablet. (Samsung Audio Device label)

First video below is IK using a tablet, the next two are more in depth.
