METAlliance Certifies LEWITT LCT 640 TS Mic

New York, USA – December 2019… LEWITT’s versatile LCT 640 TS multi-pattern studio microphone has been certified by the Music Engineering and Technology Alliance (METAlliance). LEWITT, a METAlliance ProPartner, is one of the world’s most innovative manufacturers of high quality studio microphones.

METAlliance co-founder Chuck Ainlay commented, “LEWITT has designed and built a really versatile addition to microphone technology. You can work with a choice of traditional response patterns in the studio, but you also have the option of changing the polar pattern when you are mixing. Brilliant!”

“We are honored that the METAlliance has chosen to recognize the LCT 640 TS in this way. This certification is validation of the hard work and creativity of our R&D team,” says Roman Perschon, founder and CEO of LEWITT. “We have always been a forward-looking company, determined to push the boundaries of microphone design, and the LCT 640 TS perfectly captures this concept. With its ability to work as a traditional multi-pattern microphone, a stereo microphone and a mic that can change the polar pattern after the recording, we like to see it as the ‘Swiss Army knife’ of studio mics. We are confident that the certification of the METAlliance will inspire more people to take a look at the LCT 640 TS and discover the benefits that it will bring them.”

LEWITT’s LCT 640 TS can be configured as a multi-pattern microphone, a stereo microphone, and a mic that can change the polar pattern after the fact. One studio mic for precise vocal and instrument recording. Its premium-built 1-inch true condenser capsule highlights the natural character of the source sound with a full-bodied and crisp sound. With the included Polarizer plug-in, the recording engineer can conveniently set any polar pattern after the initial recording. The LCT 640 TS comes in a mil-spec transport case, including a shock mount and magnetic pop filter.
