Controlling cutoff frequency of an instrument live - any pedals for this?

I've found various envelope filter pedals (Electro harmonix Q-Tron, , etc) but they seem to have a modulation/wah sound built in which colours the tone. Are there any pedals out there which don't do this, i.e would allow you to simply control the cutoff frequency in real time, via a knob? Thanks.

I think this might work for you...

Building a box for your needs wouldn't be hard...

You mean a wah pedal? Or something that works like a wah but with a different tone like a synth filter?

You could use a PC based setup with a MIDI expression pedal to control a plugin. Or maybe look at something like a synth module that lets you control CV to a filter unit.

Most filter will do it. Have a look at a Moog filter pedal (the big one has an external control jack to allow control of freq or resonance with a pedal or some modulation device. Or just use the knob on top
