JS Bach keyboard concerto with string band on 2 mikes.

Steinway D recorded from the flank ,with a string section, in a delicate Georgian Assembly Hall.
Sum and difference MKH 30s into a Sound Devices 702.
Overhead, 10' high, about 10' from the piano, just under the chandelier.

Lovely texture—sounds really nice in mono as well.

The image is favoring to the right side leaving more reverb heard on the left. I like that. Is it a feature of the space or the way the ensemble set up, or both?

I hear that right side bias, and I rather like it too. Lovely sound, lovely playing, lovely space. And a lovely recording to go with it all.

Placement varied throughout the performances as the the String Band and pianist alternated and combined forces.
It is a lovely hall though.
