Schoeps CMC 1 (miniturized Colette microphone amplifier)

1 Attachment(s)
The CMC 1 is Schoeps' new, small Colette microphone amplifier, about one-third the size and 40% lighter than the CMC 6. It is compatible with all components of the Colette system and can be used in place of the CMC 6 without compromise, for all applications in which the size and weight of the microphone play a role.

The electrical characteristics of the CMC 1 are equal to, or even better than, those of the CMC 6. Through modern electronic design, these outstanding electrical properties have been achieved:

High maximum SPL: 135 dB-SPL with the MK 4 (0.5% THD or less)
Very low current consumption: 2.0 mA at 48 Volts
Operates on 48 V or 12 V phantom power
Very high immunity from RF interference with the SCHOEPS RFI Shield

whoa nice!!

Brilliant !
I see this heading more to the film market than to music.
In plain music recording there is no need to have a low pass filter regardless at which frequency, so I will be happy using my cmc 6 for many years.

Price point ?

Retailers offer the CMC 1 for around 680 euros (excl. VAT).
A video with a presentation is on it's way, and will be posted in the IBC coverage thread (in the "So much Gear, so little time" forum).

thanks, thats about the same like a cmc 6.

Now if they finally would take my advice
and collaborate with plugin alliance for a
pro version of Steven Slate‘s VMS system -
all based on schoeps microphones...cellfone
