BBC / Beyond deliverable question

Hello,
We'll be mixing a show for BBC / Beyond that has VO/MX/FX only, no production dialog.
In this case, how would they like the Undipped MX and Undipped FX?
Would the Undipped MX and Undipped FX create Undipped M&E if put together?

Nobody mentions un-dipping is for Narration or otherwise...

Thanks for any insight!

Yes. I'm not looking at your spec sheet, but it makes perfect sense that the VO in a foreign language version of that program would require the M+E to be dipped around it with slightly different timing.

I get that. However, wouldn't it be redundant to provide an un-dipped M&E as well as separate FX and MX of the same component?
I thought supplying the FX and MX straight without any dipping would make more sense. So it would be an independent output from the M&E altogether.
Although the only time this would be useful is if they didn't like the mix or the m&e and wanted to rebalance it.

No. The layback might have a limited number of tracks, making it necessary to deliver M+E on two tracks. You’re right, it will be redundant, but don’t ask questions. Follow the spec. We are the servants.
