Muffled hearing in one ear all the sudden!!!

Hey guys. Last week i was working really long ours mixing tracks back to back. Until suddenly i had muffled sensation in my right ear. It never went away. It seems like something is stuck in my right ear. I hear lower high frequencies with it. I went to 2 ENT doctors and they told me they couldn't find anything. I really need help guys. Does anyone have got this before? Will it go away?

An ENT telling you they couldn't find anything??
Did you get a hearing test?

My daughter is an audiologist, when an ENT gets a patient complaining of hearing, they check for impacted ear wax, then a full audiogram.
Thats the first diagnostic tool for an ENT.

It’s strange that 2 docs told you that.. what diagnostics did they run? There’s info missing in your post

:deth:yingyang:deth: You need to take time away from using your hearing in the manner that you have been pushing the envelop. It doesn't matter what part of your anatomy you have been overtaxing, it all adds up to over-accumulation of wear and tear and in some cases toxicity. .... "But it's my profession"! Uh, doesn't matter to the laws of physics. Good luck, try not to make the damage irreversible.

I did a hearing test, and they couldn't find anything as well. I hear from 5db . The test was up to 8k for some reason . And they told me everything is fine . When i went again . The doctor prescribed me some oral steroids . And he told me that if this didn't work . Nothing will

Yes i am aware of that. I always protect my hearing m i don't listen loud. I rarely use headphones . However the last time i worked a little longer than normal. Nothing drastic . But that what happened

The steroids are the right treatment - but can you find a hearing-specific ent? Most ent doctors don’t actually know that much about hearing, it’s all the physical stuff. A few specialise in hearing issues. Or go to an audiologist and have a proper hearing test done (8kHz isn’t that high at all, you could hear 8k and still feel muffled on that side if your other ear is hearing 15k!)
