Korg Stage Echo SE-500/SE-300
do you know anything about the SE-300 compared to the SE-500? The SE-300 is strangely enough the newest model, it came out about one year after the SE-500 in 1979, it has a cool reverb that you can mix into the echo, but the SE-500 has more buttons on it and it has xlr inputs for microfone which seems nice... Can you run a shure mic directly into the SE-300 with an xlr-jack cable and have enough input?
I am trying to find out which model is "the most desirable".
And..... How are these compared to the classic Space Echos....?
I am going for a dirty, warm dub-like/psychedelic tape echo sound.
Any experts out there?

I've heard Stage Echos are 'sleepers' that should be nabbed by any true tape echo junkie but haven't come across one myself. I own a Roland RE 201 and will add an RE 301 soon. There's a reason the Space Echo fetches such a handsome price these days-they are the psychedelic sound of dub to which you are referring. kfhkh
