micro freak? more like Arturia the micro sneak cooge rockout superb little box

scottdavidson 24th January 2019 05:01 PM

love the concept, didnt like the video at all (epic cringe tbh) .Looking forward to hearing more, if they get the build quality and the sound right it will be a winner im sure.

wendell r. 24th January 2019 05:02 PM

Could be the age of very interesting hybrid synths, alongside the analog revival.

Jamie munro 24th January 2019 05:03 PM

great marketing line

"This isn’t a revolution, it’s a mutiny" abduction polyAT inc.

wendell r. 24th January 2019 05:12 PM

Arturia are always quite original with their marketing, and with some of their ideas too, such as with the Matrixbrute.

tricera 24th January 2019 05:15 PM

PolyAT? You have to be sh*tting me.

Kja 24th January 2019 05:21 PM

That looks cool, it didn't sound that crazy though. Anyone know how much?

Maffez 24th January 2019 05:22 PM

wow, cool - specs read interesting and the sound demos are really nice. all in all this looks like a good chance from the analog only offerings (ewhich are fine in their own right, of course)

that room in the promo vids needs acustic treatment tho...

"We’ve also teamed up with Eurorack synth heroes Mutable Instruments to bring you 7 modes from their legendary Plaits module. "

This looks like an amazing little 4 voice oddball synth.

Leanass 24th January 2019 05:23 PM

is that plaits oscillator? the speech synth has the same words lol

edit: yes, 7 modes of plaits osc.

$299 !

lost_the_peace 24th January 2019 05:32 PM

Amazing concept and love the partnership with MI!

A bargain even as a controller and some of 4x plaits!

apessino 24th January 2019 05:32 PM

HOT DAMN! So bloody cool - can’t wait to mess with one. kfhkhkfhkh

ToyBox 24th January 2019 05:33 PM

Mutable, awesome. I always loved how Arturia was bringing ideas from the boutique/Euro worlds to the masses, this is taking it up a notch kfhkh

I feel like they need to make a Wasp-y black and yellow version, thought.

Own (and love) a Microbrute. This will probably be my next Arturia purchase. Cheap and delicious.diddlydoo

modulosonoro 24th January 2019 05:42 PM

The product name and artwork tell me I'm not part of their target market. peachh

sds1fs1r 24th January 2019 05:43 PM

Yay Arturia. give me give me.
It is the perfect post-plug in synth.

lost_the_peace 24th January 2019 05:44 PM

I hope sales reflect the capability and innovation, this is insane synth for ££££

VennD68 24th January 2019 05:53 PM

Some rather nice forward thinking here and it would make great sample fodder for my Digitakt, TR-8S and V-Synth.

fusionid 24th January 2019 05:58 PM

brilliant

With the plaits oscs, wavetables and filters I'm with you! Think it could be outstanding for ambient textures mangled via DT.

If it's as capable of karplus/physical modelling I'm going to swap out a shed load of euro for this.

Kudos to MI for sharing too, love Émilie's open ethos! (e.g. vcv rack)

Super pumped.. I thought we were lost to a world of revival

marcgood 24th January 2019 06:03 PM

Well....that escalated quickly. Guess I'll be getting one of these too.

Looks like an amazing little synth. They didn't hold back. They crammed every feature they could think of into it. Throughout the video I kept going "WTF" as they unveiled more and more capabilities.

I absolutely love the look of it. And I even liked the video.

I don't have time or money for more synths, but I'm thinking that this might make a nice celebratory gift to myself after I file my taxes.

sovietpop 24th January 2019 06:06 PM

Brillant ! Collaboration with Mutable Instrument im IN :)
edit : No brainer for me absolutely a no brainer

Persemone 24th January 2019 06:08 PM

Loving the keyplates. My only experience of this kind of input has been on Animoog, and that was a joy to play. Between this and the Volca Modular it seems experimental, west-coast type stuff is really coming forwards. Love it.
