Recording with fuzz

How do you guys approach recording a guitar using fuzz (mic>pre>DAW) thru a guitar amp.

Any significant difference from distortion pedal being used?

I have already noticed a positive impact using a HPF, but wondering what everyone's opinion on the topic is, thanks.

your question doesn't contain an actual question......

please expand further

The question is in relation to mic placement, EQ-ing, compression and other elements, when one is recording an electric, distorted guitar thru an amp, using a fuzz pedal. Just a differences (if any) when recording a guitar using a distortion pedal and/or fuzz.

I wanted to get a pic as to how are others approaching this type of sound in the recording process.

start experimenting

if you like it it's good...

if you don't it's not.

there are over 20 years of books and magazine articles that are online that you can read.

believe me - hand holding is not going to help you here

When I did, I never expected fuzzy guitar to sound good, rather the opposite. Fuzz makes everything unnatural and ugly.

I thought the same all these years, but recently I realized David Gilmore used fuzz on many of his solos ..

Then I bought the new Triangle fuzz ...
