Weekend date only tour?
I think Leftfield did this a few years ago, presumably because it's far easier to entice aging ravers out for a weekend evening event than during the week. I am sure if Orbital did this for any UK tour, it would make a massive difference to ticket sales.

Not sure how difficult it is to plan and pull off, but if Leftfield did it, then it must be possible.

you can do it that way, it means you can play bigger venues. depends what you want to do , loads of smaller gigs covering more ground or less gigs in bigger venues and make people travel! it really depends on the promoters and whether they think you pull it off that way. lots of things to take into account. I find a tour usually plans itself , meaning you don't get to choose so much as the booking agent and the promoters work out the best solution for the band in question.

as an ageing raver myself i prefer a week night gig with the main act on at 9, and all in my home town. not up for late night gigs anymore!
