Using Several DAWS & Traktor Through interface and to Produce Surround Sound

Hi Guys
Having a problem trying to sort this out at the moment
Im wanting to run the usual music production stuff
i.e. Ableton - Traktor - Maschine in a music jam setup.
I use Logic X (10.3) & Ableton (9.7.1) on the music production side as well
Plus wanting to create music in 5.1 -7.1 as a project with soundtracks for a pre university course in sound design and production..
My set up is so far is a IMac 27 inch (late 2013) and I've ordered a focusrite 18i20 (2nd gen) I'm wanting to connect it to a Yamaha DSP A2 Surround sound amp.
Is this possible or do i need an extra box to convert to the inputs on the back,
I have seen the extra connections for an"external decoder" on the back of DSP for "main - surround- centre - sub" would this work, (6 connections)
Or go down the path of using connections as you would like connecting a DD -DTS Dvd player - i.e. 2 x RCA phono - 1 x S/PDIF
yes the 18i20 does do "TOSLINK" but its ADAT so that wouldn't work or would it..
A bit tricky to sort this out, in theory this looks a great setup but in trying to figure cables - connections - extra "box's" this could be a right money pit and I'm sure I could do this within a decent budget without breaking the bank and my technical brain
thanks
Andy

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "several Daw's"? On the same machine at once? confoosed

Using Maschine for creating beats etc and Ableton to do drum/packs-patterns
