Old hardware digital FX, Orville still useful for you?

Hello Rob,

Another one...
Do you get much use out of your Orville these days, plugins have come a long way? Do you use the Orville digitally as a send/return from your DAW?
I wonder if something like Eventide Anthology / Space plugins covers much of that ground now?
Analogue delays and tape echos etc are still well worthwhile as they cant really be duplicated perfectly digitally and have a lot of character, but modern digital hardware FX seems to have had its day as its quite clean and can be reproduced with plugins? I think so anyway...
Vintage digital units are quite nice though, like old 12 bit digital delays with nice hands on control, again sound quite different to plugs

Cheers!

i am still using my orville yes, but i also own a H9 and as well the plugins.... and all of them get used on a daily basis....

the orville is still a bit more powerfull in complex efx... but the new plugins are really great ... all a matter of time.
