Poor Man's JCM 800 ? - Peavey Windsor..

If you listen to the end of this podcast - at around 4:25 , the guy talks about the new Peavey Windsor amp. Sounds really promissing, with a street price of around 400.00, this may be the answer to those that dont want to shell out 800.00 and up for an old Jcm 800... It seems to be missing a little of that highend glass sound, but it has more distortion in my opinion..

They sound pretty good. Peavey has a few JCM 800 attempts from over the years, including the VTM series, and the Butcher, I believe.

Yes, I used to own a VTM-120, but it was stale and dry sounding imho.

Wow, the Butcher.. I remember that amp.. We are talking 1985 ish..

That thing rocked..
