creative uses of dub delay
Hello Robert,

I was wondering about the roles dub delay feedback controlled through a mixing desk may play in your music. I find it can lead to creative sound textures and bring out the character of the circuits involved. Do you use any device, besides adjusting the mixer faders, to control the feedback loop so it doesn’t overload too much? Do you use the noise floor which gets louder with each regeneration to add dimension and texture to a mix? Are there other uses of dub delay you may find inspiring?

Thank you!

yes i love dub delay... using the Korg stage echo tape delay, or other delays...

i send the echo to a bus with compression... so its better to control.
i also bought a isp decimator that is great in reducing the noise floor.
